Laborers of the Harvest Brush Clearing was founded in Redding by Grant Hatfield, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran (0431 Logistics, MWSS-171, 2016–2020) who took what the Corps drilled into him — defined scope, clear communication, accountability, mission-first execution — and built a land stewardship company on it.
The model is deliberate: a professional hand crew, not heavy machinery. Shasta County's overgrowth lives on steep, rocky, tight ground — behind houses, under the oaks, along fence lines and creek banks — and that is ground a crew on foot can work and a machine cannot. We cut it clean, protect the soil and the trees worth keeping, and leave a finish that looks maintained, not just knocked down.
